Dundee City Council helps cut energy bills by 50% following £150m investment

As part of a high-profile refurbishment scheme worth £150 million, Dundee City Council has managed to implement extensive energy efficiency measures in more than 1,000 city properties, a news report in the local media has revealed.

Additionally, council bosses claim that these improvements have made a real difference to the quality of people’s lives, with bills said to have dropped by as much as 50% thanks to better energy efficiency.

Moreover, a partnership scheme with British Gas has enabled the council to access an extra £8m in funding for energy efficiency measures, benefiting 1,100 residents.
