Gas customers can reduce heating bills via simple wireless system
A gas provider has announced that its natural gas prices will increase by 8.7 per cent from next month. Airtricity said the rises would be equivalent to an increase of 13 pence per day on a typical domestic gas bill. “Last year we were able to reduce and then hold our gas prices, however in recent months we have seen significant increases in costs outside of our control,” explained Stephen Wheeler, Airtricity managing director.
Gas customers can reduce their heating bills via the ingenious but simple HeatSave wireless thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs). Using quick DIY installation, simply unscrew the existing TRV by hand and replace with the HeatSave valve. At the touch of a button, HeatSave allows householders to turn down the heating in rooms that they are not using. One of its features is automatic exercising when unused for 7 days to minimise seizing of radiator valves in the warmer months – very useful now that Spring is around the corner.
