Peterborough residents to reduce their heating bills as part of council-funded deal
A local council has vowed to help residents save thousands of pounds on their energy bills by entering a lucrative partnership with one of the UK’s “Big Six” energy suppliers.
The local authority in Peterborough will offer residents access to a scheme set up together with British Gas and dubbed the Peterborough Energy Package. The scheme aims to help residents reduce their energy bills not just over the next 12 months, but in future years, a news report in the local media can reveal.
Nearly 100 people have signed up to the local energy package in the first six days and it is estimated that those who did will save £4,000 just by switching.
While such energy saving schemes will certainly help users pay less for their energy, the truth of the matter is that implementing a solid and reliable energy management solution is also something home owners should seriously consider on the long-term.
The HeatSave thermostatic radiator valves represent some of the easiest to install and most cost-effective energy-saving measures out there, as they enable users to set specific functioning times for each valve, and, since radiators are individually controlled, home owners are fully capable to maximise the zoning potential and reduce energy consumption in those areas that are not used for longer periods of time (as for example, dining or sitting rooms and kitchens during the night, etc.).
Additionally, the HeatSave wireless thermostatic radiator valves also provide an automatic exercising feature when unused for 7 days, whose purpose is to minimise seizing of radiator valves in warmer months.
All in all, the HeatSave TRVs enable users to achieve some pretty impressive savings, as they will help reduce your heating bills by up to 30%.
