Energy saving scheme wins extra funding
An energy saving scheme in Dorset has managed to secure additional funding after successfully bidding for a share of a £30,000 grant from a programme that exists to provide cash for energy efficiency improvements in social housing, businesses and the community.
Plus, Dorset Energised has managed to obtain some £400 of funding from Ready for Retrofit, a three-year project that offers funding for social landlords in the south-west of England. Ready for Retrofit is being funded by the European Regional Development Fund and is being run by the Energy Saving Trust, a news report in the local media can reveal.
Landlords have the chance to apply for funding to carry out retrofit energy efficiency improvements in their properties, as well as to boost microgeneration measures to improve the energy performance of their homes. In turn, this will lead to reduced bills for their tenants.
The HeatSave thermostatic radiator valves represent some of the easiest to install and most cost-effective energy-saving measures out there, as they enable users to set specific functioning times for each valve, and, since radiators are individually controlled, home owners are fully capable to maximise the zoning potential and reduce energy consumption in those areas that are not used for longer periods of time (as for example, dining or sitting rooms and kitchens during the night, etc.).
Additionally, the HeatSave wireless thermostatic radiator valves also provide an automatic exercising feature when unused for 7 days, whose purpose is to minimise seizing of radiator valves in warmer months.
All in all, the HeatSave TRVs enable users to achieve some pretty impressive savings, as they will help reduce your heating bills by up to 30%.
