UK Green Investment Bank set to launch a new NHS energy efficiency financing scheme
The UK Green Investment Bank (GIB) has announced plans to roll out a new energy efficiency funding scheme targeting the country’s NHS Trusts and Health Boards, a news report in the business media has recently revealed.
The new scheme is aimed at helping the NHS, who’s spent more than £630m on energy in the 2012-13 fiscal year, bolster its budget by implementing extensive energy efficiency measures.
UK GIB managing director for energy efficiency, Gregor Paterson-Jones said: “The NHS estate offers a huge opportunity for cost savings through energy efficiency. The time is right – the technology is mature and well proven, we have some very positive case studies showing what’s possible and all public bodies have to face the risks of rising energy costs and ongoing budget pressures”.
Any modern building (and especially those in the healthcare sector) will certainly require the implementation of some very comprehensive and effective energy management systems, and that’s exactly where the HeatSave programmable wireless thermostatic valves can really come in handy.
The HeatSave wireless thermostatic valves represent a very good solution for the healthcare industry, where energy costs are 2nd only to labour costs. That’s because the TRVs can help customers slash their energy bills by up to an impressive 30 percent by allowing them to thoroughly control the heating patterns for every single one of their radiators.
